The Unsolicited Commission for Atlas Valley Planning (UCAVAP) may play as a satire of government commissions, but its mission could not be more serious: to imagine a rural utopia in Ait Bougmez valley. Fiction thus becomes a field of experimentation, where playful freedom creatively addresses the social and environmental challenges posed in North Africa's marginalized high-altitude valleys.
