Medina is a multidisciplinary organization founded in Cairo in 2014. It builds bridges between past and future through its work at the intersection of culture, media innovation, archiving, research, the arts and community participation. The organization specializes in collecting, curating and disseminating alternative historical narratives across multiple formats, including film, articles, exhibitions, interactive archives and educational programs.

Its work is centered around its main project, the Cairo Archive, and includes a range of initiatives such as archive-based arts programs, the production of drama and documentary films rooted in archival material, training, exhibitions, conceptual publishing and content curation. It also manages its digital platform www.madinamagazine.com which supports freedom of expression and alternative storytelling in Arab media.
