This film will explore how the ghosts of empire continue to haunt present-day Palestine, beginning with the story of Yasmin’s great-grandfather who was the director of the visionary 1940s Palestinian farm school Deir Amr. Yasmin will weave together official archives and personal memories to trace how land, family and community ripple through time, and ask: what lessons can we draw from the past?
