White Gold traces the entanglement of Egypt's cotton industry with Amina’s family's history. Through archives, fieldwork, and first person experiences, it uncovers overlooked narratives of labor, land, and migration. Currently taking shape as a photobook, the project weaves personal and collective histories, and reclaims forgotten stories, while questioning how our identity is constructed, inherited, and remembered.
