Julia spends her days teaching the history of Lebanon’s war but otherwise leads a solitary life. This is disrupted when her thirty-year-old son, Ghassan, returns to live with her. While mother and son attempt to navigate their complicated relationship, the war-time dogs reappear, spreading terror in Beirut. When Ghassan is bitten, they embark on a nightmarish journey looking to escape the collapsing city.
