Madar is an artist-led annual festival dedicated to contemporary dance and alternative theater. Inspired by harvest rituals, spring festivals and carnivals, it celebrates renewal, endings and the grandeur of beginnings. Madar takes place in rural areas outside of Beirut, featuring performances, workshops, discussions and street events.
