Festival Leyali-El medh is an annual cultural and artistic event organized by the TERANIM center for folk arts in the Mauritarian capital of Nouakchott. The festival focuses on medh as a musical form and genre of cultural expression, once the dominant cultural form of the formerly enslaved Haratine people of Mauritania.
