Arabic Sonatas is a project aimed at recording 9 sonatas for violin and piano by Syrian, Egyptian, Lebanese, Moroccan and Jordanian composers. There is an emergence of Arab composers who are not originally from Europe but who have benefited from its culture and have written compositions inspired from the depths of the cultures they belong to while using “Western” models. The sonata is a perfect model that complements the merging of different cultures. From thereon, the project was created to record these works on a double CD and will be released in Beirut.
