Hilal Chouman is a novelist born in Beirut in 1982. He currently resides in Canada. He has published five novels in Arabic. His latest is titled Sorrow in My Heart. An English translation of his novel Limbo Beirut was included in the Saif Ghobash–Banipal Prize shortlist and the Pen Translation Award longlist.
