Hewar is an independent theater and performing arts company based in Alexandria, Egypt. Hewar works on three main threads: 1) the Theater Is A Must International Independent Theater Festival in Alexandria, 2) capacity building and training projects for independent emerging artists and theater and performing arts practitioners, and 3) staging theater productions focused on cross-cultural collaborations concerned with local and global political contexts presented in post-dramatic and political dramaturgy-based productions.
