Hussein Nakhal

Lebanon
Hussein Nakhal is a Beirut-based artist, researcher, and writer whose practice combines curating, editorial experimentation, and artistic research. Working with print, phototransfers, and performance, he explores how fragmented legacies and interrupted archives structure our understanding of culture within the "para-real" terrains of Lebanon. A co-founder of Waraq (2012) and Studio Kawakeb (2015), he has curated numerous exhibitions and commissioned and edited multiple publications, advocating for ethical, relational creative models. Following a residency at the Saradar Foundation (2023-2024), he is currently developing his solo exhibition, Meetings in Timefolds, for the Beirut Art Center (2026), reframing archives as acts of relationality.
