Bisan Nateel

Palestine
Bisan Nateel is a Palestinian writer and artist from Gaza. She holds a BA in Psychology. Her work explores the intersection of literature and contemporary art, drawing on the Palestinian experience, the memory of place, and the ways people engage with it. Her studies in psychology at Al-Azhar University in Gaza informed an imaginative approach that combines literary narrative with lived experience, seeking to understand the psychological and collective fractures brought about by wars and borders. Her projects explore identity, loss, borders, and collective memory, with a particular focus on individual experiences under conditions of genocide, where the personal becomes a mirror of the collective. She has coordinated and led youth groups at Tamer Institute for Community Education, established spaces for expression, writing, and artistic experimentation, and has dedicated the past few years to creative writing.
