Samuli Lähteenaho

Samuli Lähteenaho is a social anthropologist based at the University of Helsinki, working on environmental anthropology in the SWANA region, and in particular Lebanon. His interests include environmental anthropology, questions of epistemology in political anthropology and social movements. Samuli defended his PhD, A Beach Multiple: An Ethnography of Environmentalism on the Lebanese Coastline, in 2024 at the University of Helsinki. He has published his scholarship through the International Journal of Middle East Studies, Babylon: The Nordic Journal of Middle East Studies, The Finnish Anthropologist, the University of Helsinki Press and a forthcoming publication in Environmental Humanities.
