Fyzal Boulifa is a British-Moroccan writer-director based between London and the north of Morocco. He has twice won the Illy Prize for Short Film at the Cannes Directors’ Fortnight, first for The Curse (2012) and then for Rate Me (2015). He has since made two feature-length films. Lynn + Lucy (2019), shot in the UK, premiered at the San Sebastian Film Festival. And The Damned Don't Cry (2022), shot in Morocco, premiered at Venice Critic’s Week. Most recently, he co-wrote the screenplay for Palestinian thriller To A Land Unknown, which premiered at Cannes Directors’ Fortnight in 2024. He is currently working on Eternal Peace, his third feature, set between the UK and Morocco.
