Fajr Soliman (El Kontessa) is a Cairo-based producer, DJ and multidisciplinary artist exploring the intersections of bass music, polyrhythmic structures and Cairo's sonic landscape. Her debut album, Nos Habet Caramel (2023, Bilna'es), features seven beat-driven, sample-heavy tracks shaped by her DJ practice and visual sensibility.

Fusing Mahraganat percussion, synth bursts and fragmented vocals, the record moves through slippery, saturated sound worlds. Since 2018, Fajr has performed across the Arab region and Europe at Primavera, Le Guess Who? and BRDCST. Her work has been featured on NTS, Rinse FM and Movement Radio.
