“Madinatayn” is a photographic exploration of two cities: Doha, where the photographer works and lives with his young family, and Beirut, his hometown and birthplace of his dreams and regrets. He gravitates towards the darkness in both cities as a mirror for a darkness within. In Doha, he uncovers the unlit alleys where migrant workers dwell, while in Beirut he delves deep into the fatalistic nightlife on the fringes of a society on the road to collapse.
