Les itinérants are calling explores Algiers’ sonic landscape with Baba Salem, second-hand dealers, and sardine sellers; three itinerant practices that shape the rhythm of neighborhood life and perpetuate a local economy based on trust. Combining archiving, research, and contemporary creation, the project preserves and valorizes this living heritage that contributes to the city’s identity.
