The film begins in 2026, just before Israel’s war escalates again, when the Bajouk family finally returns to their border village of Ayta ash-Shaab. Forced into displacement once more, the film brings together the Bajouk family's present testimony with a look back at the Super 8 footage that the family preserved: the fragile dream of moving back, and the memory now at risk of slipping away.
