Reviving the Gaddoon Cultural Dance is a project that seeks to revitalize Somalia’s Gaddoon, a folk dance on the verge of disappearance, by fusing its traditional movements with contemporary Afrobeat. In collaboration with the band Waaberi, the project includes workshops, youth training and a week-long performance that deploys digital tools at the National Theater of Somalia. The project aims to bridge cultural heritage with contemporary practice, empowering young dancers and preserving Somali identity.
