Things Went Out of Control takes as its starting point the practice of “intervention” in contemporary art in an attempt to make the conception of intervention engage with different social and cultural practices in Egypt. The project wants to ask about the very nature of an intervention, and whether it can exist where there is opposition and difference? What relations are formed by intervention in the dominant narratives of places and events?
