The Watchman is a video installation, filmed in Louroujina, a Turkish-Cypriot-controlled village isolated within Greek Cypriot territory. The story follows a young soldier who witnesses strange occurrences while monitoring the border. He eventually discovers that behind these occurrences is an army of ghosts. The piece explores waiting as a temporal and spatial experience and the disappointment of a wasted life waiting for an enemy that may never arrive.
