"Lougy’s Coiffure" is a musical project that combines electronic music with the Egyptian folk wedding march of zaffa in an attempt to revive and renew the art form as it faces threats to its existence. The project draws its name from a hair salon next to the artist’s residence that witnesses a zaffa on a daily basis and served as the inspiration for the work.
