Palestine embraces a large and diverse number of women filmmakers either in Palestine or in the countries of diaspora, in the Arab world and in the West. Around a hundred women directors already define themselves and their works as “Palestinian,” expressing their vision and the view of their lives and communities through documentary and drama films that transcend the typical icons that reproduce “Palestine.”
