Trapped in their narrow and miserable world dominated by paternal authority, Mahjouba and Hada take us on a journey in search of an exit visa to another world not governed by male authority. With the departure from the world of male dominance comes a new birth, but that birth creates a dialectic between the desire for life and rebellion against reality on the one hand, and submission and fear of the unknown on the other.
