The project represents an attempt to grasp the manner in which the body gets covered with clothing and the like, as well as nakedness in literary works. A particular focus is given to Egyptian and Arab culture, whether contemporary, traditional or popular, including visual arts. The project explores all the elements that contribute to an understanding of the colonized body’s past, in its previous nakedness from civilization, and its new nudity in the context of domination.
