In the series of drawings “The Beating of the Wings”, the Tunisian artist Nidhal Chamekh brings together visual allegories of Tunisian modernity and collective memory, its dream revolutions and repressed ghosts. These 25 to 30 original drawings are published alongside two philosophical essays by Omar Berrada and Arafat Sadallah, two significant Arab contemporary intellectuals.
