Ateek presents Tricoter/Hiyakeh, a musical project for qanun, cello and piano, introducing a new form of trio, replacing the violin with the old arabic instrument the qanun and therefore adding a new oriental flavor as well as a modernist approach to the repertoire of qanun classical music. The theme is inspired from old colorful textiles mixing eastern and western sounds. The musicians are cellist Cag Ercag and qanun player Aysu Sadiqova and pianist Zina Asfour.
