Landing Slowly Below

The novel is set in the high school of one of the Western Sahara oases villages in Egypt. The main character is a young girl who moved from the Cairo to enroll to the 9th grade class of the village school. Her flashbacks to urban life in the capital contrast with her current life in the village through which the story unfolds, allowing for new perspectives to be articulated regarding the recent occurrences in Egypt.
