Dox Box 2009 is Syria’s first independent creative documentary film festival held annually in Damascus, Tartous and Homs; admission is free of charge and open to the public with audience awards granted at the festival’s closing. The festival’s mission is to create a platform for filmmakers and institutions from Arab countries and the international circuit to meet, network, see some of the world’s finest creative documentaries, and engage in debate and discussion with the public.
