The project tackles musically the complete works of philosopher Abu Al Alaa’ AL Ma’arri who later influenced humanist thought. The purpose is to produce a contemporary musical work with The Asil Ensemble for contemporary classical Arabic music. One part will be sung in Arabic in addition to contemporary instrumental parts inspired by a hypothetical dialogue between Abi Al Alaa’ and Dante.
