The album aims to express music beyond cultural borders and uses oud, flute, shinobue (Japanese bamboo flute), riqq, durbakeh, frame drum, cajon, and double bass. It is a journey through music to discover new horizons, encounters and connections. Equipped with virtuosic skills on their instruments, OUMI Ensemble believes in an open approach to its musical traditions and fearlessly fuse them with classical, jazz and many more influences into a unique style: sweepingly fast paced, sweetly melodic, and passionately improvised.
