Knowing that the iridescent color spectrum of pearls is the lighter version of the same color spectrum found in crude oil; in this project, the artist recreate these formal links through the shape of drills that are used to extract oil. When seen separately, these drills resemble forms of marine life, especially when coated with the aforementioned color scheme.
