A Ticket to Atlantis

Lina Issa  |  Performing Arts  |  2016  |  Lebanon
The project consists of a live performance and audiovisual installation about the relation between human beings and their bodies and the sea, within a sensory and historical framework. The performers will share with their audience a journey in search of lightness. The performance starts with the experiences and images of migrants as a contemporary reality, and asks: What happens when we associate the obsession of searching for a safe place with the myth of Atlantis, the utopian city lost in the sea? This will be a joint work by Lina Issa from Lebanon, and actor and theater director Meyar Alkasan from Syria.
