In meeting points called zawiya, the Moroccan sufi-brotherhoods (Hamadsa, Gnawa, Isawa, etc.) conduct trance sessions and evoke the spirits known as djins. While some people come to seek help, assuming they are possessed, others simply ask for a blessing. In this project, the grantee is going to photograph the spiritual sessions and poTraining and Regional Eventsay the believers, exploring their hopes and desires.
