Amine Hattou

Amine Hattou is an Algerian filmmaker. He graduated from the Journalism Institute in Algiers in 2000. In 2009, he was selected to attend the summer university of La Fémis (France) and directed his short documentary Le temps d'une danse (2009). In 2011, he directed his first short fiction film, Les pieds sur terre, which was screened at festivals around the world. In 2012, he joined the project'heurts association and set up Béjaia Film Lab, a professional platform for Maghrebi directors and producers. His first feature-length documentary Janitou premiered at the Durban International Film Festival in 2020.
