Caroline Ackad

Caroline Ackad is an Egyptian performing artist and theater maker. She graduated from the Cairo Contemporary Dance Center in 2020 and earned a master’s degree in Advanced Theatre Practice from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in 2024. Her practice blends dance, acting, text and improvisation, exploring questions of identity, space and human complexity and seeking reflection and transformation through collaboration and experimentation. Caroline is a member of the Dawar Playback Troupe and has performed in productions such as Hoop om on ay (2019), We Are Coming Back After Everybody and Birds Murmuration. She has directed and performed On This Day (2019) and choreographed What the Hell Am I Doing Here?, which was produced with an AFAC grant, premiering in 2022 before touring in Egypt, Kenya, Morocco and Bahrain.
