Dima AL-Joundi

Lebanon
Born in Lebanon, and graduated in 1988 from the Cinema Institute in Brussels-INSAS- in Script & Film Editing with distinction. She moved to Paris in 1995 where she continued directing and producing, then left to Sri Lanka and worked as a producer-director for Young Asia TV, and specialized in Media related to Development & Humanitarian.
In 1998 she returned to Lebanon and established Crystal Films, a film production & Distribution Company, and the pioneer of the first Europa Cinema Theatre in the MEA & has distributed more then 25 Euro-Mediterranean films in the region with her Belgian partner Cineart-Belgium & JLA sales agent -France.
Since 2006: ♦ Vice-President of "APIMED" (Association of Mediterranean Independent Producers)- Barcelona-Spain.
2003-2005:Jury member of the Intergovernmental Francophone Agency (Film funding)
2010: Senior Audiovisual expert for the evaluation of Euromed II Programme for the European Union, for a budget of 15 M euros spent in the Mena region on Training, distribution and production.
Producer of more than 8 documentaries & 5 Feature films in the Mena Region & Europe.
Among the films she produced:
“Khalass” a feature film by Borhane Alaouie,with France & Belgium.
Executive producer on the feature film “ Hadewijch” by Bruno Dumont , for his Lebanese shooting, for 3B production-France.
In 2009, Executive producer & International Co-production consultant on the Egyptian feature film “EL-Shooq” by Khaled EL-Hagar.
Producer of a feature documentary “A long breath” by Remi Itani. IDFA Mid-Length Official competition, 2019 & EL-Gouna-cinebridge best post-production award.
World Sales Agent and Funder of the Syrian documentary “The immortal Sergeant” by Ziad Kalthoum, official selection at Locarno Film festival -2014.
2005, Co-producer of her documentary “Maid for sale” with Belgium & France. Best audience award at vesoul Int Asian festival- MDG United Nations Award-Tunis-Best Documentary & Critics Award at Khouribga Int.Festival-Morocco.
BETWEEN US TWO... BEIRUT, THE SILK ROAD (1995) in Anatolia and “Dona Cesaria” about the famous singer Cesaria Evora.
Since 2003, Mentor and trainer for Unesco, E.U, Ina-France & Madrid Media business school.
