Elsadig Abdelgayoum

Elsadig Abdelgayoum is a freelance visual artist from Sudan. He graduated in Multimedia Studies in 2008 and has developed a passion for visual storytelling through filmmaking workshops in Sudan and beyond. He has worked as a director, cameraman, and sound recordist on diverse artistic and commission-based projects. In 2011, he directed the short documentary, Blue Star. Currently co-directing The Camera Never Cries (in post production), he produced the short documentary Hidden Journey in 2026 with support from Doha Film Institute, DW and DocA. Elsadig has held photography exhibitions across East Africa and internationally. His latest, A House Away From Home (Kampala, 2024), explored the experiences of the Sudanese community amid the effects of the war.
