Ghayad Khatib is an architect specializing in conservation and urban regeneration, and the founder of Ruoma Movement. She leads the interdisciplinary studio mayd & ghaym, where she works as both a theoretical and field researcher on issues of spatial justice and architectural heritage. Her work focuses on rethinking the relationship between people and space within equitable contexts, particularly in relation to erasure and displacement. Ghayad is also a multidisciplinary researcher and artist who integrates architectural practice with critical, visual, and culturally grounded expression across multiple mediums. Her work employs theoretical, experimental, field-based, and graphic tools, aiming to preserve, engage with, and regenerate Palestinian identity.
