Omar Kenawy is an Egyptian journalist and writer. He has worked for numerous Egyptian and Arab newspapers and television channels, including the Egyptian newspaper Al-Dustour, Akhbar Al-Arab in the UAE, and various Saudi Arabian news, cultural, and sports TV channels. He currently works as a news editor at Al-Ghad TV. He has published two books on Egypt’s January 25 and January 30 movements, both of which generated considerable debate for their differing perspectives, and were the subject of dozens of articles. One of his books was translated into French and published in Paris in 2018. He helped found the Sindbad bookstore and managed it from 1997 and 2014. The bookstore is considered a significant landmark in the history of Egyptian bookstores, representing an unconventional model.
