Hasan Falih is an Iraqi screenwriter and novelist. He holds a PhD from the College of Fine Arts and teaches at the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad, where he combines academic and creative practice in storytelling and cinema. He has published several novels and short story collections, including Crown Taxi (Sutour Publishing, 2015), The Clay Reader (Sutour Publishing, 2017), the Gum Gardens short story collection (Al Mutawassit), Cameras and Angels (Sutour Publishing, 2018), and Shouban Al-Sadriyah (Nusous Publishing, 2020). His most recent novel, The People of the Star, was published by Sutour in 2025. Hassan has also written several feature screenplays, including Keleher, directed by Iraqi filmmaker Salman Salman (2019).
