Noor Salaheldin Humaida is a Sudanese writer, physician, and researcher based in Cairo. Her creative and research practices focus on the intersection of war, existentialism, and women’s issues, drawing on realist and fantasy storytelling to unpack the contemporary psychopolitical landscape. Her short story collection Eternal Return was published by Rawafed in 2025. She has received several prestigious literary awards, including first prize in the Al Tayeb Salih Award for Youth Short Story (2020) and the Nirvana Literary Award (2021). She has participated in international literary residencies and several cultural platforms. Noor holds a BSc in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Khartoum (2025), where she received an award for outstanding academic performance. Her work brings together scientific rigor and narrative depth in an effort to document Sudanese memory.
