Elnahda - Jesuit Cairo Cultural Center | The Jesuit Association of Scientific and Cultural Renaissance - Cairo was founded in Faggala in 1998 by Jesuit fathers and brothers, along with Egyptian Muslims and Christians interested in artistic, cultural, civic and other issues that concern all Egyptians. The association is centered on the belief in the role of visual culture in human development at all levels, and it links creativity with the revelation of latent potential within the Egyptian individual.

The association’s activities include three main schools: the Cairo and Upper Egypt Cinema School, the NAS Social Theatre School and the Animation School. The Jesuit Association of Scientific and Cultural Renaissance - Jesuit Cairo works with children and youth to cultivate enlightened minds, encourage creativity, innovation and critical thinking, and to inspire them to change reality for the better.
