Ammar Abdallah is a Sudanese documentary photographer and storyteller, born in Wad Madani, Sudan. His work is inspired by his dreams, memories, family stories, personal identity, his surrounding environment and the life experiences that shaped his personality. In 2022, he was the winner of the East Africa Photography Award singles category, in UPPA, Uganda. He has participated in different solo and group exhibitions, such as Fragments of Home, at The People’s Forum in New York in 2024. In the same year, he participated in the mentorship program by Through the Lens Collective and the Sudan Visuals mentorship program.
