Yosr Gasmi is a Tunisian actor, screenwriter and filmmaker. She studied French and comparative literature at Sorbonne Université and École normale supérieure de Tunis. With an interest in the various artistic and scriptural expressions of the image, she has made films with her partner Mauro Mazzocchi, an Italian filmmaker and philosopher. Their first film I Want to Go Mad, Raving Mad – L.E.N.Z (2016), about a traveller finding refuge with a family, was an independent production. Geology of Separation (2023), selected for screening at IFFR 2023, is their second film together.
