RAqS Foundation was initiated in 2017 by Syrian artists Zinoun Abou Saleh (artistic director and executive producer) and co-founder Hadil Sakikar (digital marketer and visual designer).

Via diverse programming formats, the foundation facilitates artistic exchange and discourse through intimate and medium-scale engagements. The RAqS residency program nurtures interdisciplinary collaborations by bridging sound traditions with modern production techniques. The organization continually develops its program offerings, furthering its objectives and pushing for impact within its surrounding communities.
