Nicolás Jaar is a musician, who since 2008, has released music under various guises spanning shades of pop, ambient, noise and club music. Since 2013, he has curated the Other People music label, releasing the music of Saint Abdullah, Aho Ssan and Lydia Lunch, among other artists.

In recent years, Nicolás has focused on education, teaching sound-editing and listening workshops to emerging musicians and non-musicians alike at institutions and festivals such as the Museo de la Memoria in Santiago, Cuba; the Academy of Fine Arts of Munich in Germany; the Arab Image Foundation in Beirut; Sonica Festival in Ljubljana, Slovenia; and Dar Yusuf Nasri Jacir for Art and Research and the Alrowwad Cultural and Arts Society in Bethlehem, Palestine, among others.
