Sahar Mohammed

Sudan
Sahar Mohammed is a Sudanese artist, media professional and cultural activist. Her work explores themes of memory, displacement and identity, with a focus on women’s issues, climate change and cultural heritage. Formerly Cultural Programme Coordinator at the Goethe-Institut Sudan, she has led numerous artistic and social initiatives across Sudan. She is the founder of the Osir Center for women’s education and crafts in Northern Sudan and co-creator of the Passion Podcast, which documents Sudanese art and storytelling. Sahar works across photography, audio and text to create powerful, multidimensional narratives.
