Rawan Joulani is a visual artist and photographer born in 1996 in Jerusalem. She received a bachelor of fine arts degree in photography from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem in 2024. She uses video and photography to explore the relationship between humans and their environment. Her work focuses on disaggregating the totality of urban landscapes and reconfiguring it to offer new insights into personal and collective narratives. By incorporating elements of documentary photography into her picturing of urban landscapes, she creates images that add a new dimension to the scene, paying special attention to the medium itself and how to use it conceptually.
