Mohammed Laouli

Mohammed Laouli is a Moroccan artist who currently lives and works between Marseille and his hometown of Salé. His work explores social dynamics by making interventions in public space. It questions power mechanisms as well as social and cultural structures. Working across video, sculpture, photography, drawing and painting, Mohammed underlines tensions between individual and collective experiences related to exile and social exclusion. His work has been exhibited in events such as Bamako, Marrakech and Dakar Biennales, Le Cube Independent Art Room, Musée MVI of Modern and Contemporary Art, Zeppelin Museum, Rautenstrauch-Joest Museum, Tate Modern and Institut du Monde Arabe among others.
